What was the brief?
Indigo were asked to undertake a fundraising feasibility study to establish whether it was realistic to assume that mac could raise £2.185m required to complete the required £15m funding package to rebuild mac for future generations.
What was Indigo’s approach?
Indigo interviewed board members and key stakeholders to establish their appetite and support for a fundraising campaign. Using our experience and industry knowledge, we were able to make informed estimates on the likely range of income which mac would receive from trusts and foundations, audiences, public fundraising campaigns, and from the corporate sector, and then created a step by step implementation plan.
mac subsequently asked Indigo to lead the fundraising campaign, which we did on a part-time basis between 2007 and 2010.
What did we deliver?
Income – over £2.24m was raised by the end of the appeal, and additional items to benefit the local community were added to the refurbishment spec because of our successes
Impact – mac now has new friends in the city and further afield, and awareness of its on-going fundraising and income generation requirements is significantly enhanced.
