Sarah Gee - partner
Sarah Gee is co-founder and Managing Partner of Indigo Ltd. She previously worked in a variety of roles in the music business, most recently as Director of Communications for the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra. Her work on relationship management, diversification of audiences and rebranding at the CBSO received world-wide interest, and has since been used as case studies in many leading journals and universities.
Sarah is best known for her work on areas where marketing and fundraising overlap, such as stakeholder relations, individual giving, audience engagement, and branding. She is a regular trainer for the Arts Marketing Association, the British Council and other UK arts industry organisations, and has been the keynote speaker at seminars in Austria, Finland, France, Holland, Hungary, Oman and Qatar. She’s also given guest lectures at City University, the Royal College of Music, Sibelius Academy and Central Saint Martins. In 2008 and 2010 Sarah chaired conferences in Vienna and Prague for the European Broadcasting Union, and in 2009 she was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society for the Arts. In 2011, she became an accredited coach, and founded AngelShares.com, a philanthropic crowdfunding website for arts and creative industry organisations.
Sarah currently sits on the Midlands Advisory Committee for Common Purpose, and is a trustee of Motionhouse, Spitalfields Music and the BBC Performing Arts Trust, where she is also Chair of their Marketing Committee.
