The Theatre Trip Toolkit was created by Indigo and is a collaboration between the National Theatre, the Royal Shakespeare Company and the Children’s Theatre Partnership. It is intended as a practical guide to help theatres and theatre companies build schools' audiences for performances, ensuring more young people have the chance to experience live performance.
You can download the toolkit from the National Theatre website now.
We are proud that Indigo has written the Theatre Trip Toolkit, working in close collaboration with the National Theatre, the RSC and the Children’s Theatre Partnership. Drawing on research, sector insight and the voices of teachers and theatre professionals, we’ve created a practical, easy-to-use guide that acknowledges the real challenges schools and theatres face, while offering positive, achievable solutions. Our aim is to help theatres of all sizes build stronger connections with schools, so that many more young people can experience the life-changing impact of live performance — often for the very first time.
