17 May saw the return of live in-person cultural performances in England and our Experience Surveys captured audience sentiment pre and post-visit.
In a live webinar on 22 June, the Insights Alliance (Baker Richards, Indigo Ltd and One Further) presented the feedback from the first audiences back, along with the latest Audience Tracker data, and considered what the findings mean for sector recovery in the coming months.

The Culture Restart Toolkit tracks sentiment of cultural audiences and visitors during Covid-19.
Our Culture Restart Experience Surveys are short pre and post-visit surveys designed to capture audience and visitor sentiment before and after attending a cultural experience, and have been running since some cultural venues reopened in May 2021.
Since October 2020, the Culture Restart Audience & Visitor Tracker has helped cultural organisations to collect vital data needed to plan a safe and financially viable reopening. It also covers the appeal of digital content and willingness to pay for it, both before and after re-opening. By keeping audiences and visitors engaged and involved, cultural organisations can do more of the things which build confidence and positive sentiment for the future, and respond to causes of negative sentiment.
