Services — Audit

Sometimes it’s important to take stock of where you are and what you are achieving. This is where some external eyes can be really valuable and we have developed a series of tools and processes to help you to do this.

Marketing MOT

We have developed a unique tool to measure and evaluate your marketing activity. In today’s challenging times it is important that all aspects of your work are functioning as cost – effectively and efficiently as possible. This review will provide you with reassurance that this is happening, and will also provide constructive suggestions for new ways of working.

The Marketing Audit will be undertaken by our Associate Consultant, Alan MacGregor who joined the Indigo team ten years ago, after spending 7 years as Marketing Director at The Lowry. Alan is an award winning marketer who has worked at Board level in the private, public and not for profit sectors in a marketing career spanning 30 years – he also holds an MBA from Manchester Business School.

The review would involve a meeting with the appropriate senior management who you select to engage in the review. Following the in-depth on-site review a full report would be produced and presented to you. The whole process would take less than two weeks from initial discussion to report presentation. The amount of time spent in your organisation would be dependant on the size of the marketing function.

Brochure effectiveness review

How do you know if the money you are investing in your season brochure and other season communications is working?

Our effectiveness review of this costly initiative will result in a more efficient and effective use of these resources, potentially saving money which can be re-invested in more targeted marketing communications activities.

Katy Raines and Alan MacGregor have developed a tried and tested method for analyzing and testing season communications for a number of venues, including The Lowry, Wales Millennium Centre, Bristol Old Vic and Clwyd Theatr Cymru which have resulted in significant cost efficiencies.

GDPR Review

With the introduction of the General Data Protection Regulation in May 2018, how can you be sure that your approach to processing data is legal and meets the new requirements?

Katy Raines is currently working with a number of Arts Charities as the implications of the new regulations are becoming clear – to review what they are currently doing, agree a new basis for processing data, and ensure the organisation is clear with its customers, employees and suppliers what to expect.

“thanks again for your excellent GDPR Workshop” Eric Lesire, CEO, Ticketmatic Belgium/Holland

“I attended your incredibly useful presentation at the ABO GDPR day back in December – thank you for providing us all with such helpful guidance.” Libby Papakyriacou, London Philharmonic Orchestra

Fundraising Audit

Using a structured question set - covering income over the past 3-5 years, alongside fundraising ‘products’, and human, IT and financial resources – our audit will provide a snapshot of current income successes, alongside a set of recommendations for future improvements. This will help organisations build fundraising income budgets that are based on an informed view of future potential, and allow suitable expenditure in the pursuit of funds.

A fundraising feasibility study and capital fundraising plan

Indigo are fantastic to work with: they have greatly assisted us to have a better understanding of the data that we hold and how to analyse it to push forward audience development.
